A claims specialist will guide you through the process, explain the next steps, and help arrange any services you may need.

  • Photos or documentation, if available

Can I file a claim over the phone?

In the real world, Parloa’s insurance customers absolutely take claims over the phone. In this Kronos demonstration site, you can check the status of a claim that has already been filed by authenticating as the customer on the My Account page. You’ll find a link to the My Account page in the upper right corner of the page.

What are the different stages of an auto insurance claim, and what do they mean?

Submitted / FNOL (First Notice of Loss): The initial filing of the incident. The insurer has recorded the claim but has not yet assigned it to an adjuster.

Under Investigation: The insurance company is gathering facts, reviewing police reports, and determining fault.

Assigned / Adjusting: An auto damage appraiser evaluates the severity of the vehicle's damage to authorize repairs or declare a total loss.

Pending / On Hold: The claim is temporarily paused, typically due to missing information, waiting for medical documents, or unresolved fault disputes.

Approved / Settled: The claim has been processed and liability is finalized. Insurers will either authorize a direct repair or issue a payout check (minus your deductible).

Denied / Declined: The insurer determines the damages are not covered by your policy or the other party's liability cannot be proven.

Closed: The claim process has concluded. This can happen after a successful settlement, or if required actions by the policyholder remain incomplete over a specified timeframe.
